Putting People First

Since 2008, homeownership rates across the district have stagnated at 54%, while the cost of owning a home has increased by nearly $134,000.00. During that same period, our district has lost approximately 45,000 jobs in construction, manufacturing and production, installation, maintenance, and repair occupations. As fewer people are able to access jobs and homes, the wealth gap grows.

Our team will update federal policy to give companies and small business ways to hire more skilled workers. We will update policies and introduce legislation that create stronger pathways to homeownership. And we will work with local, state, and federal partners to end violence.

We must design policies that create real opportunity.

That is our plan. And we will get it done.
